Managing Portfolio Statement Templates

Intro

Portfolio statement templates define the settings and functionality included on a given schedule of investments (SOI) statement. This includes the calculations, totals, sorting, and column headers.

Certain functionality in this application area requires you to have one or more . For more information about any given right (i.e., what functionality it governs, etc.), please see the “Available User Rights” topic.

Tasks

A standard portfolio template will be included with new client implementations of Arc Suite environments. However, there may be occasions on which additional portfolio statement templates will need to be added.

    1. Expand the ArcFiling “Structure Templates” .

      1. Click the “Home” button at the top of the application window to return to the landing page.

      2. Select “ArcFiling” from the .

      3. Click the “Administration” at lower-left of the screen.

    2. Expand the ArcReporting “Structure Templates” .

      1. Click the “Home” button at the top of the application window to return to the landing page.

      1. Specify to create a completely new template, or to base the new template on a previously-created template.

        1. Select the “Blank Template” option (default) to create a new, blank template.

          1. Specify the desired “Portfolio Type”.

            1. Select “Full” (default) to create a portfolio statement (1) that will include all securities OR (2) for a diversification table OR (3) that will include a Top ‘N’ filter.
            2. Select “Condensed/Summary” to create a portfolio statement that will include aggregation settings and display options for an “Other” securities line item.
            3. Select “Categories” to create a portfolio statement that will aggregate innermost categories that are less than X% of Net Assets or Total Investments into one statement line item.

        2. Select the “Copy Existing Template” to create a template whose properties and settings match those of an existing template in the database.

          1. Specify the complex associated with the template upon which the new statement template will be based via the “Source Complex” drop-down list.
          2. Specify the existing template on which the new statement template will be based via the “Source Template” drop-down list.
          3. Specify the complex with which the new statement template will be associated via the “Target Complex” drop-down list.

        3. Select the “Import” to create a template whose properties and settings match those of an existing template that has been exported to a file of XML format.

          1. Select your import file using the “Browse” button at right of the “Source File” field.
          2. Specify the complex with which the new statement template will be associated via the “Target Complex” drop-down list.

      2. Click the “Create/Import Template” button at lower-right of the dialogue.

    5. Specify template properties in the upper portion of the “Detail” at right of the page.

      1. “Blank Template”

        1. Click the “Complex” drop-down list to specify the complex with which the new portfolio statement template will be associated.
        2. Enter a “Template Name”, “Description” and “Output Style Type” for the new template, either in the cells of the new row at left of the page, or in the fields of the “Detail” pane at right.

      2. “Copy Existing Template”

        1. Edit the newly-copied template’s “Template Name”, “Description” and “Output Style Type” as appropriate.

      3. “Import”

        1. Edit the newly-imported template’s “Template Name”, “Description” and “Output Style Type” as appropriate.

      Available output style types are limited to those designated as “active” in association with the current complex, via the Table Styles library.

    6. Define the template’s structure and associated settings via the “Statement Detail” .

      1. To define the sort order of items in the statement, select the “Statement” item in the structure tree, and then click the “Sorting” in the “Settings” section at right.

        1. Click the “Add” at lower-left of the “Sorting” tab in the “Settings” section to define sort settings.

          1. Click the “Column Name” drop-down list.

          2. Select the desired column name by which to sort.
          3. Specify a “Sort Direction” of either “Ascending” (default) or “Descending”.

          4. Specify whether the sort will be of “Standard” or “Custom”.

            1. For a “Standard” sort, do the following:

              1. Click the “Column Name” drop-down list.

              2. Select the desired column name by which to sort.
              3. Specify a “Sort Direction” of either “Ascending” (default) or “Descending”.
            2. For a “Custom” sort, specify a “Portfolio Custom Sort Profile” definition to govern sorting.

          5. Click the “Accept” button at lower-right of the dialogue.

          Selected rows can be moved up or down in the “Sorting” grid by means of the corresponding positioning arrows , also at lower-left of the grid.

      2. Specify settings on the “Prior Period” to govern the display of prior account period values on a portfolio statement.

        1. Select the “Enable prior period functionality” to turn on prior period functionality for any statement using the template.
          • The check box is cleared by default when a new portfolio statement template is created.
          • When the check box is selected, the remainder of the controls on the tab (whose settings are used) are enabled.
          • If the check box is selected, additional data points (with the suffix “(prior)”) will be available for mapping from the “Security” pane on the “Format Items” tab of the “Portfolio Statement Template Output Settings” page.

        2. Use the “Prior Period” list to specify the prior period (i.e., “Comparative 1st prior”, “Fiscal Year End 1st prior”, “Fiscal Year Semi End”, “Fiscal Year Semi End 1st prior” or “Quarter End 1st prior”) that will be used to populate all prior period values on the statement.
          • Category captions are always are populated from the current account period. If the current account period is missing a caption, statement preview and output will display “Unknown”.
          • The “Fiscal year end changes” setting for the fund (specified via the “Fund” tab of the “Funds” page) is respected if it falls within one of the existing data points.

        3. Select the “Display category header if no securities held in current period” to display a category header row in statement preview and output if a given category had no securities in it in the current period, but had at least one security in it in the prior year.
          • The check box is cleared by default when a new portfolio statement template is created.
          • If the check box is selected, neither individual securities nor the category total row will be displayed.
          • When displaying zero for the current period, statement preview and output will respect the Zero Display setting for the data point specified on the “Portfolio Statement Template Output Settings” page.

      3. Specify settings on the “Calculations” for calculating certain values when including a “Percent of Net Assets” and/or “Total Investments” line on a portfolio statement.

        1. Select the “Use primary statement to calculate statement values” on the template’s “Statement” node if a primary statement has been designated for the fund and the newly-created secondary statement template will use values/percentages from that statement in its calculations.
          • The check box is selected by default when a new portfolio statement template is created.
          • If the statement template is the primary statement, or to specify independent calculation settings for a secondary statement, clear the “Use primary statement to calculate statement values” check box.

          1. Select the “Use primary statement’s footed values and percentages to calculate statement values” to utilize footed values and percentages from the designated primary portfolio statement template.
            • This option button is selected by default when a new portfolio statement template is created.

            • Specifying this option introduces the possibility of creating scenarios where footing is incorrect on the secondary statement, when the “Total Investments”/“Net Assets” values, or other impactful portfolio statement template setup/configuration settings are not identical between the primary and secondary statements.

          2. Select the “Use primary statement’s footed values to calculate statement values” option button to utilize footed values only from the designated primary portfolio statement template.

        2. For portfolio statement templates of type “Full” and “Condensed”, if you select the “Calculate category totals using rounded values” for a given category or group, the calculation engine switches from “Calculating category totals from raw values then footing” to “Calculating category total from rounded security values”.
          • This functionality only affects category/group total calculations. The “Total Investments” line continues to calculate using raw values and does not change based on use of this option.
          • This functionality does not disable the footing engine. However, the footing logic adjusts securities in other categories/groups to make up for lost footing opportunities within the current category/group.
          • This functionality applies to all values set on the “Calculations” tab at the statement level, except for the “Percent of Net Assets”, “Percent of Par” and “Percent of Total Investments”.
          • If all categories/groups have this check box option selected, securities within them may be adjusted for footing.
          • The rounded value for each number is determined by the “Rounding” setting on the “Calculations” tab at the statement level.
          • The check box is cleared by default.

        3. For portfolio statement templates of type “Full” and “Condensed”, you can use the “Calculation Exceptions” on the tab for categories, category exceptions and groups to specify different rounding settings for numeric values than those designated at the “Statement” level (a read-only “Statement-level Calculations” grid at the top of the tab displays calculation settings for the “Statement” node for review/comparison purposes).
          • You may enter any integer value in the “Sample Number” text box at the top of the group box. After a rounding level is designated for any field added to the calculation exceptions grid, the specified numeric value is displayed accordingly in the “Example” column of the grid.
          • You can export a listing of calculation exception definitions for selected category/category exception/group by clicking the “Export Data” button at lower-right of the “Calculation Exceptions” grid.

        5. For information on how to add a total investments line and its associated calculations, see the “Adding a “Total Investments” item to a portfolio statement template” task.
        • Values not calculated on the primary statement’s “Calculations” tab return a value of “0” on any secondary statements using those values. The desired values must be added to the primary statement’s “Calculations” tab to render appropriate values on secondary statements.
        • All mapped data points must be added to the “Calculations” tab of the “Portfolio Statement Templates” page.

      4. Designate which specific securities to include or exclude from your statement, based on the value of one or more fields, via the “Filter” .

        1. Specify securities to include in the “Inclusions” of the tab.

          1. Click the “Add” at lower-left of the grid to view/edit settings.

            1. Specify the inclusion “Type” (i.e., “Category Type”, “Field”, “Footnote” or “Top N”) from the and define the associated settings.

              1. If you specify “Category Type” as the inclusion type, designate in the filter.

                1. Specify the appropriate “Type” in the corresponding drop-down list.

                2. Specify the category library that contains the categories to include in the filter via the “Library” .

                  Available selections are limited to libraries associated with the complex of the current portfolio statement template.

                3. Designate the .
                  • To add a category, drag-and-drop it from the “Available Categories” pane at right to the “Included Category(ies)” pane at left.
                  • Drag-and-drop categories from left to right to remove them from the filter inclusion.
                  • You can multi-select categories for the drag/drop operation.
                • If a given security is assigned to any category in the “Included Category(ies)” list, it will be included.
                • Any number of filter inclusions of type “Category Type” can be defined.

              2. If you specify “Field” as the inclusion type, define a in the filter.
                1. Specify the field to include using the “Field” drop-down list.
                2. Specify an “Operator” value for the condition (e.g., “contains”, “equal to”, “greater than”, etc.).

                3. If you specify “Expiration Date”, “Maturity Date”, “Reset Date” or “Yield Date” as the “Field”, use the “Days” to designate the number of days after the current reporting period against which to compare the specified field.

                4. If you specify any field value except “Expiration Date”, “Maturity Date”, “Reset Date” or “Yield Date” as the “Field”, use the “Value” to designate the value against which to compare the specified field.

                • The “Total Investments” value for portfolio statement templates that use this functionality will only be based on the included securities shown on the statement.
                • The “Percent of Total Investments” value will only include and calculate based on securities shown on the statement, unless the option to “Use primary statement’s footed values to calculate statements” is selected.
                • Any number of filter inclusions of type “Field” can be defined.

              3. If you specify “Footnote” as the inclusion type, designate a (i.e., any security to which the specified footnote is attached is included in the filter).

                1. Specify the footnote library that contains the footnote to be used in the filter via the “Footnote Library” .

                  Available selections are limited to libraries associated with the complex of the current portfolio statement template.

                2. Specify the desired “Footnote” from the library.

                Any number of filter inclusions of type “Footnote” can be defined.

              4. If you specify “Top N” as the inclusion type, indicate the based on the value of a given field.

                1. Use the “Top” spinner control to designate the number of securities to consider for inclusion.
                2. Specify the field whose value will be evaluated via the “By” drop-down list.
                3. Select the “Group like fields” check box if you wish to designate a field by which to aggregate securities when the “Top N” holdings are evaluated. This causes each set of aggregated records to be counted as a single record for “Top N” purposes.

                4. If you selected the “Group like fields” check box, designate the field by which to group via the associated “By” drop-down list. ()

                  If there are three holdings with the same “Issuer” value, these “Issuer” balances will be aggregated. Once these values are aggregated, the sum of the market values will be part of the Top 5 holdings and will show in the report. For counting purposes, the combined Issuer records will only be counted as one of the Top 5 holdings in the report. Whether the three securities will display in project preview and output will depend on aggregation settings in the portfolio statement template.

                Any number of filter inclusions of type “Top N” can be defined.

            2. Click the “Accept” button at lower-right of the dialogue.

        2. Set conditions for a security’s exclusion in the “Exclusions” of the tab.

          1. Click the “Add” at lower-left of the grid to view/edit settings.

            1. Specify the exclusion “Type” (i.e., “Category Type” or “Field”) from the and define the associated settings.

              1. If you specify “Category Type” as the exclusion type, designate from the filter.

                1. Specify the appropriate “Category Type” in the corresponding drop-down list.

                2. Specify the category library that contains the categories to exclude from the filter via the “Library” .

                  Available selections are limited to libraries associated with the complex of the current portfolio statement template.

                  • Drag-and-drop categories from left to right to remove them from the filter exclusion.

                • If a given security is assigned to any category in the “Excluded Category(ies)” list, it will be excluded.
                • Any number of filter exclusions of type “Category Type” can be defined.

              2. If you specify “Field” as the exclusion type, under which a specified field is excluded from the filter.
                1. Specify the field to exclude using the “Field” drop-down list.
                2. Specify an “Operator” value for the condition (e.g., “contains”, “equal to”, “greater than”, etc.).

                3. If you specify “Expiration Date”, “Maturity Date”, “Reset Date” or “Yield Date” as the “Field”, use the “Days” to designate the number of days after the current reporting period against which to compare the specified field.

                4. If you specify any field value except “Expiration Date”, “Maturity Date”, “Reset Date” or “Yield Date” as the “Field”, use the “Value” to designate the value against which to compare the specified field.

                • The values from holdings excluded from the portfolio statement preview and output due to “Exclusion” settings will be excluded from the “Total Investments” calculation.
                • Any number of filter exclusions of type “Field” can be defined.

            2. Click the “Accept” button at lower-right of the dialogue.

        If one or more filter inclusions and one or more filter exclusions are specified, all securities that meet the exclusion criteria will be removed from consideration before logic is run to determine which securities meet the inclusion criteria.

      5. For statements of type “Condensed/Summary” (not “Full”), use the “Condensed” to designate which holdings will display on the statement individually, as opposed to being grouped in an “Other Securities” section on the statement.

        1. Select the “Attribute” to base holdings display on one or more of a holding’s attributes (e.g., “Illiquid Security”, “Non-Income”, “Restricted”, etc.).

          1. Select one or more check boxes in the section to specify which attribute value(s) should be set to “True” for the security.

            You can use the “Select all” or “Clear all” links to quickly select/clear the check boxes.

        2. Select the “Top ‘N’” to base holdings display on the value of a specified field for any given holding.
          1. Set a value in the spinner control that represents the number of securities to display, based on the specified field value.
          2. Select a field from the drop-down list whose value will be evaluated as the basis for display.

          The default settings dictate the display of the top 50 individual holdings by “Market Value”.

        3. Select the “Additional Inclusions” to base holdings display on a holding’s specified “Category”, “Date” (expiration, maturity, reset or yield), “Investment Type”, “Issuer Master” and/or “Security/Investment Master”.

          1. Click the “Add” at lower-left of the grid to view/edit settings.
            1. Select an “Inclusion Type” from the corresponding drop-down list.
            2. Based on the selected type, provide appropriate values for the remainder of fields that display on the dialogue.
            3. Select the “Don’t count in Top ‘N’” check box if you wish to exclude securities matching the inclusion rule’s criteria from the Top ‘N’ holdings.

            4. Click the “Accept” button at lower-right of the dialogue.

        4. Select the “Percentage” to base holdings display on the percentage of a security grouping’s value (e.g., “Market Value”, “Cost”, etc.) with respect to either “Net Assets” or “Total Investments”.
          1. Select a field from the first drop-down list that represents the field by which to group the holdings.
          2. Select a field from the second drop-down list that represents the value to consider for the grouping.

          3. Specify a value in the that represents the percentage of either “Net Assets” or “Total Investments”.
            • The minimum value of the spinner is “1.00”.
            • The maximum value of the spinner is “100.00”.
            • The spinner allows for two decimal places to be specified.

            • Absolute value is considered in determining if the percentage of any given holdings grouping is greater than the specified spinner value.

              “5.25%” and “(5.25%)” are both greater than 5.00% of Net Assets. Therefore, in both of these cases the securities would be broken out from the “Other Securities” section of the statement.

          4. Select a field from the third drop-down list that represents the value against which the comparison will be made (i.e., “Net Assets” or “Total Investments”).
          5. Select the “Do not aggregate long and short positions” check box if you wish to prevent the aggregation of long and short position holdings into the same grouping.
          6. Select the “Combine Fully Collateralized Repos for Percentage” check box if you wish to aggregate all holdings that are marked as “Fully Collateralized Repo” via the “Fund Holdings” page, group them together and display all of them on a Condensed statement if they exceed the specified percentage threshold.

          The default settings dictate the display of individual holdings when grouped by “Issuer” whose “Market Value” is greater than or equal to 1.00% of “Net Assets”.

        5. Populate the “Other Securities Caption” to specify the desired caption, per language, for the “Other Securities” line item based on the number of securities contained therein.

          • When the “Other Securities” statement item contains a single record the specified “Single Security Caption” text will be returned in project preview and output.

            • The default value for the column is “Other Security”.

          • When the “Other Securities” statement item contains multiple records the specified “Multiple Securities Caption” text will be returned in project preview and output.

            • The default value for the column is “Other Securities”.
            • When the “Other Securities” item contains multiple records, but these are combined into a single record for output purposes due to aggregation settings, the specified “Single Security Caption” text will be returned in project preview and output.

      6. For statements of type “Full” or “Condensed/Summary”, use the “Aggregate” to specify settings to be used as aggregation logic is applied for a given statement line item.

        1. Select the “Enable aggregation” check box.

        2. Add one or more fields to the grid using the “Add” button at lower-left of the grid.

          • Use the “Remove” button to delete fields from the grid.
          • Use the “Move item up” or “Move item down” buttons   to adjust the order of fields in the grid, as necessary.
        3. Select the “Recalculate percentages based on aggregated ‘Market Value Calculation Basis’” check box at lower-left of the tab if you wish to recalculate percentages based on the aggregated “Market Value Calculation Basis” specified.
        4. Select the “Ignore footnotes when evaluating Holdings to aggregate” check box at lower-left of the tab if you wish to ignore the symbols of any footnotes attached to holdings’ fields when performing aggregation.
        5. Select the “Ignore Top ‘N’ securities when evaluating Holdings to aggregate” check box at lower-left of the tab if you wish to ignore any securities that are among the specified top “n” securities when performing aggregation.
        • A maximum of 10 aggregation levels can be specified; the “Add” button will be disabled once 10 rows have been added to the grid.

        • The will display and be considered for sorting purposes along with all other “Security” records.

          • For sorting by numeric-type fields, the aggregated value of all the securities in the aggregated row for each numeric field will be used for sorting purposes.

            • This value is based on the footed value that the system has calculated based on the “Calculations” tab settings.
          • For sorting by text-type fields, the field value of the first security that the sorting engine encounters within the group of aggregated securities will be used for sorting purposes.

          • For sorting by date/time-type fields, the field value of the first security that the sorting engine encounters within the group of aggregated securities will be used for sorting purposes.

            • When sorting aggregated and non-aggregated securities by date/time, the group will be sorted based on the “MinDate” of the former and the “Date” of the latter.

        • Where both stacking and aggregation settings are specified within the same template, the settings on each of the various tabs will be applied in a .

          • For SOI’s of type “Full” or “Categories”:

            1. Aggregate
            2. Stack
            3. Sorting

          • For SOI’s of type “Condensed”:

            1. Condensed
            2. Aggregate

            3. Stack

              • Securities that display in the “Other Securities” row will not be included in the stacking.
              • The “Other Securities” row will not be included in the stacking.
            4. Sorting

      7. For statements of type “Categories”, use the “Aggregate” to specify aggregation logic on the parent of an innermost category or group, based on top “n” settings or percentage value.

        1. Select the “Aggregate Top ‘N’ Categories” to enable this functionality and to apply associated settings for category evaluation.

          1. Specify the top “n” categories (any value between “1” and “100”) for inclusion in the aggregation and the data point by which to aggregate using the corresponding spinner control and drop-down list.

        2. Select the “Aggregate Categories based on Percentage” to enable this functionality and to apply associated settings for category evaluation.

          1. Specify the percentage of “Net Assets” or “Total Investments” (any value between “0.01” and “100.00”) for inclusion in the aggregation using the corresponding spinner control and drop-down list.

        You can select only one of the two options for any given statement node.

      8. For statements of type “Full” or “Condensed/Summary”, use the “Stack” to specify the number of levels deep by which to stack.

        1. Select the “Enable Stacking” check box.

        2. Add one or more fields to the grid using the “Add” button at lower-left of the grid.

          • Use the “Remove” button to delete fields from the grid.
          • Use the “Move item up” or “Move item down” buttons   to adjust the order of fields in the grid, as necessary.
        3. Select the “Ignore footnotes when evaluating holdings to stack” check box at lower-left of the tab if you wish to ignore the symbols of any footnotes attached to holdings’ fields when performing stacking.
        4. Select the “Enable single security roll-up (if only one security in the innermost stack level)” check box at lower-left of the tab to cause the resulting rolled-up line item to display inside the innermost stack level.
        • The “Stack” tab is disabled for statements of type “Categories”.
        • All stacking row types are supported in project preview and output once they are mapped on the “Portfolio Statement Template Output Settings” page.
        • A maximum of 5 stack levels can be specified; the “Add” button will be disabled once 5 rows have been added to the grid.

        • Where both stacking and aggregation settings are specified within the same template, the settings on each of the various tabs will be applied in a .

          • For SOI’s of type “Full” or “Categories”:

            1. Aggregate
            2. Stack
            3. Sorting

          • For SOI’s of type “Condensed”:

            1. Condensed
            2. Aggregate

            3. Stack

              • Securities that display in the “Other Securities” row will not be included in the stacking.
              • The “Other Securities” row will not be included in the stacking.

    7. Add one or more languages in association with the template via the “Languages” .

      1. Click the “Add” at lower-left of the “Settings” section to add a language.

      1. Select the “Use primary statement to calculate statement values” on the template’s “Statement” node if a primary statement has been designated for the fund and the newly-created secondary statement template will use values/percentages from that statement in its calculations.
        • The check box is selected by default when a new portfolio statement template is created.
        • If the statement template is the primary statement, or to specify independent calculation settings for a secondary statement, clear the “Use primary statement to calculate statement values” check box.

        1. Select the “Use primary statement’s footed values and percentages to calculate statement values” to utilize footed values and percentages from the designated primary portfolio statement template.
          • This option button is selected by default when a new portfolio statement template is created.

          • Specifying this option introduces the possibility of creating scenarios where footing is incorrect on the secondary statement, when the “Total Investments”/“Net Assets” values, or other impactful portfolio statement template setup/configuration settings are not identical between the primary and secondary statements.

        2. Select the “Use primary statement’s footed values to calculate statement values” option button to utilize footed values only from the designated primary portfolio statement template.

      2. For portfolio statement templates of type “Full” and “Condensed”, if you select the “Calculate category totals using rounded values” for a given category or group, the calculation engine switches from “Calculating category totals from raw values then footing” to “Calculating category total from rounded security values”.
        • This functionality only affects category/group total calculations. The “Total Investments” line continues to calculate using raw values and does not change based on use of this option.
        • This functionality does not disable the footing engine. However, the footing logic adjusts securities in other categories/groups to make up for lost footing opportunities within the current category/group.
        • This functionality applies to all values set on the “Calculations” tab at the statement level, except for the “Percent of Net Assets”, “Percent of Par” and “Percent of Total Investments”.
        • If all categories/groups have this check box option selected, securities within them may be adjusted for footing.
        • The rounded value for each number is determined by the “Rounding” setting on the “Calculations” tab at the statement level.
        • The check box is cleared by default.

      3. For portfolio statement templates of type “Full” and “Condensed”, you can use the “Calculation Exceptions” on the tab for categories, category exceptions and groups to specify different rounding settings for numeric values than those designated at the “Statement” level (a read-only “Statement-level Calculations” grid at the top of the tab displays calculation settings for the “Statement” node for review/comparison purposes).
        • You may enter any integer value in the “Sample Number” text box at the top of the group box. After a rounding level is designated for any field added to the calculation exceptions grid, the specified numeric value is displayed accordingly in the “Example” column of the grid.
        • You can export a listing of calculation exception definitions for selected category/category exception/group by clicking the “Export Data” button at lower-right of the “Calculation Exceptions” grid.
      4. For information on how to add a net assets line and its associated calculations, see the “Adding a “Net Assets” item to a portfolio statement template” task.
      5. For information on how to add a total investments line and its associated calculations, see the “Adding a “Total Investments” item to a portfolio statement template” task.
      • Values not calculated on the primary statement’s “Calculations” tab return a value of “0” on any secondary statements using those values. The desired values must be added to the primary statement’s “Calculations” tab to render appropriate values on secondary statements.
      • All mapped data points must be added to the “Calculations” tab of the “Portfolio Statement Templates” page.

    8. For statements of type “Full” or “Condensed/Summary”, use the “Aggregate” to specify settings to be used as aggregation logic is applied for a given statement line item.

      • A maximum of 10 aggregation levels can be specified; the “Add” button will be disabled once 10 rows have been added to the grid.

      • The will display and be considered for sorting purposes along with all other “Security” records.

        • For sorting by numeric-type fields, the aggregated value of all the securities in the aggregated row for each numeric field will be used for sorting purposes.

          • This value is based on the footed value that the system has calculated based on the “Calculations” tab settings.
        • For sorting by text-type fields, the field value of the first security that the sorting engine encounters within the group of aggregated securities will be used for sorting purposes.

        • For sorting by date/time-type fields, the field value of the first security that the sorting engine encounters within the group of aggregated securities will be used for sorting purposes.

          • When sorting aggregated and non-aggregated securities by date/time, the group will be sorted based on the “MinDate” of the former and the “Date” of the latter.

      • Where both stacking and aggregation settings are specified within the same template, the settings on each of the various tabs will be applied in a .

        • For SOI’s of type “Full” or “Categories”:

    11. Add a category exception if you wish to in a specific category somewhat differently than other holdings on the statement.

      1. Click the “Add Category Exception” at right of an existing category in the tree structure to define and add an exception to that category.

        2. Select the “Library” to which the excepted category(ies) belong(s).

        4. Select “Combine and rename exception categories” check box to associated “Caption” and “Total Caption” text boxes on the dialogue, by means of which the specified excepted categories can be renamed on output.
          1. Specify the caption to be displayed on output for the specified excepted categories when the “Combine and rename exception categories” check box is selected.
          2. Specify the total caption to be displayed on output for the specified excepted categories when the “Combine and rename exception categories” check box is selected.

          3. Select the “Use category caption for single category” check box, and only a single category within a group of multiple excepted categories contains any holdings, the category caption of the category containing the holdings will be displayed on output.

        5. Click the “Accept” button at lower-right of the dialogue.

        If you:

        1. Specify “Common Stocks” and “Preferred Securities” as excepted categories.
        2. Select the “Combine and rename exception categories” check box.
        3. Enter “Common Stocks and Preferred Securities” in the “Caption” text box.
        4. Enter “Total Common Stocks and Preferred Securities” in the “Total Caption” text box.
        5. Select the “Use category caption for single category” check box.

        Expected Results:

        1. “Common Stocks and Preferred Securities” is displayed in portfolio statement output when both the “Common Stocks” and “Preferred Securities” categories contain holdings.
        2. “Common Stocks” is displayed in output when the “Common Stocks” category contains holdings, but the “Preferred Securities” category does not contain holdings.
        3. “Preferred Securities” is displayed when the “Preferred Securities” category contains holdings, but the “Common Stocks” category does not contain holdings.
      2. Select the newly-added exception node(s) in the tree structure and specify sorting and/or aggregation settings via the respective tabs in the “Settings” section at right of the “Statement Detail” tab (see foregoing steps).

    12. Add a group exception if you wish to having “Fair Value Level”, “Fair Value Type” or “Position Type” specified as their “Column Name” for the purpose of sorting and/or aggregating holdings therein somewhat differently.

      1. Click the “Add group exception” link at right of an existing category in the tree structure.

        • If exceptions of all kinds have already been added for a group when the “Add group exception” link is clicked, no selections will be available in the drop-down list; another exception cannot be added for the group until at least one previously-added exception is deleted.

        • If you attempt to delete a group exception item from the tree view, a message displays to alert that all associated exceptions and their settings will be deleted.

          • If you click the “Yes” button on the dialogue, the following occurs:

            • If the group has no “child” categories or groups, the “Warning” dialogue closes and the group and any exceptions which exist are removed from the statement tree view.

            • If the group has one or more “child” categories or groups, it cannot be deleted.

              • After clicking the “OK” button to close the dialogue, the selected group remains intact (i.e., it is not removed from the tree view).
          • If you click the “No” button, the “Warning” dialogue closes and leaves the selected group intact.
        • Exceptions for “Fair Value Level”, “Fair Value Type” or “Position Type” groups can be added to formulas.
        • Literals can be mapped to group exception items in statement output settings.

      2. Click the “Accept” button at lower-right of the dialogue.

      3. Select the newly-added exception node in the tree structure and specify sorting and/or aggregation settings via the respective tabs in the “Settings” section at right of the “Statement Detail” tab (see foregoing steps).

      3. If you wish to display a new column header before a given statement item in project preview and output, select the check box in the “New Table” column for the row representing that item. This will cause the table containing the previous statement item(s) to stop and for a new table to start for that item.
      4. If you wish to apply a particular table style to a given statement item (i.e., one that differs from the style(s) applied to items that appear further up in the statement), specify the style via the drop-down list in the “Table Style” cell for the row representing that item. Applying a different table style to an item will cause the table containing the previous statement item(s) to stop and for a new table to start, with the new table style assigned.

        1. Specify auto-symbol generation settings on the “Legend” .

          1. Designate the “Auto Symbol Pattern” (e.g., “1,2,3”; “a,b,c”; “(a),(b),(c)”; etc.) for footnotes that participate in auto symbol generation.

            By default, footnotes added to a footnote library will participate in auto symbol generation.

          2. Use the “Auto Symbol Order” drop-down list to choose the basis upon which footnotes that participate in auto-symbol generation will be ordered (i.e., “By Occurrence in Statement” or “Alphabetical by Footnote Symbol”).

          3. As required, provide a for both footnotes that do and do not participate in auto symbol generation.
            • The value specified, if any, is used to separate footnote symbols when multiple footnotes exist for any given statement item.
            • The default value for newly-created footnote legend items is “,” (<comma>).
            • Any character can be entered in the text box, including a space.
            • The maximum character length for the text box value is 3.
          4. Designate the “Placement” (i.e., “Above Auto Symbol Footnotes” or “Below Auto Symbol Footnotes”) for footnotes that do not participate in auto-symbol generation.

      2. Select the “Abbreviation” if the legend will include abbreviations found among the line items of the statement.
        1. On the “Legend” tab, select the check box in the “Abbreviation Legend Settings” section to specify that the search for abbreviations should be case-sensitive.
        2. Specify if the non-intermingle legend records should display “Alphabetical by Symbol” or “By Occurrence in Statement” via the “Sort Order” drop-down list.

        3. Specify individual abbreviations that should be excluded from the legend via the “Abbreviation Exclusions” of the “Legend Exclusions” tab.

          1. Click the “Add” at lower-left of the “Abbreviation Exclusions” grid to define and add the exclusion.
            1. Choose the “Abbreviation Library” that contains the desired abbreviation(s).
            2. Select one or more abbreviations from those listed in the grid.

    6. For a template that supports multiple languages, use the “Multiple Language Options” settings at right to specify either to use the same column mapping and formatting settings for all languages, or to define distinct layouts for each language.

    7. Add data points, custom tags and standard (e.g., “$”, “%”, “€”, “£”, etc.) or custom literal values to the cells of .

          3. If the specified custom tag has the “Additional Arguments” check box selected in the Custom Tags library, enter the appropriate argument(s) in the “Additional Argument(s)” text box.

            For a custom tag requiring additional arguments, it is helpful to provide definitions and/or examples of argument values in the “Description” field when creating/editing the tag via the “Custom Tags” page. This offers some guidance to any user who insert the tag in a text editor.

          4. Click the “Accept” button at lower-right of the dialogue.

      • If multiple items are added to any given cell, you can control the placement of the appended item during the drag-and-drop action by placing the item in its desired position before the drop occurs within the cell. Items can be removed from cells, and the order of items in the cell can be adjusted using the drop-and-drag functionality.
      • To create a custom literal item, type the desired text in the box at lower-right of the page. The text for the “{custom}” item at the top of the “Literals” pane reflects the text you enter, and that item can be dragged-and-dropped to the appropriate cell in the desired position to insert the custom literal.
      • Hard returns, soft returns, tabs and spaces can also be added to cells. Items representing these can be found at the end of the list of literals provided.

      • Data points available for mapping vary by node selected.

        • When “Custom Data Point” is the specified data point type, a “Library” drop-down list displays through which you can designate the data point library containing the desired data points to map. Only those libraries associated with the same complex as the current template are available for selection.
      • All mapped data points must be added to the “Calculations” tab of the “Portfolio Statement Templates” page.
      • Click the “Add new item to the grid” button at lower-left of the “Mapping” grid, respectively, to add or remove rows.
      • To move selected rows up or down in the “Mapping” grid, use the corresponding positioning arrows at lower-left of the grid.
      • To delete all mapped items and associated formatting and suppression settings in all columns for the selected item, click the “Delete Column Mappings” link at lower-left of the “Mapping” grid.
    8. At any point during the mapping process, you can move entire rows and columns within the grid up/down/left/right by clicking the header of the desired row/column to select it, and then clicking the positioning buttons     appropriately.

    9. You can merge cells in the grid across columns by selecting the cell representing the upper-left cell of the range, and then clicking the “Span cells” beneath the grid.

    10. Indicate the cell style and (e.g., bold, italic, underline, color, alignment, etc.) to the text of mapped items.

            “Edit Item Suppression” dialogue

            1. Select the corresponding to the suppression option(s) you wish to apply to the mapped item.

              You can select more than one suppression option for a given item. If any of the selected suppression options evaluates to “True”, the item will be suppressed.

              1. Select the “Suppress if previous item is empty” check box if you want to suppress the mapped item if the item that comes before it in the current column and cell (whether of type text, date or numeric) is empty.
              2. Select the “Suppress if subsequent item is empty” check box if you want to suppress the mapped item if the item that comes after it in the current column and cell (whether of type text, date or numeric) is empty.

              3. Select the “Custom suppression” if you want to suppress the mapped item based on a specific condition that you specify.
                1. Use the “Column Name” drop-down list to specify the field whose value will be evaluated.

                2. Use the “Condition” to designate the condition to employ when evaluating the specified field’s value (available selections will vary, based on the type of field specified in the “Column Name” drop-down list).

                3. Enter one or more against which the specified “Column Name” value will be compared in the “Value(s)” text box (multiple values must be separated by a semicolon, with no space).
                  1. For Boolean-type fields, you must specify “True” or “False” in the text box.
                  2. For date-type fields, you must specify the date in “mm/dd/yyyy” format.
                  3. For numeric-type fields, you must enter only numeric values in the text box (except for semicolons).

                  If multiple values are entered in the text box, the comparison statement will use either “and” or “or” logic, based on the type of the specified “Column Name”.

                  • “equal to” = “or”
                  • “contains” = “or”
                  • “greater than” = (invalid condition; returns “false”)
                  • “less than” = (invalid condition; returns “false”)
                  • “not equal to” = “and”

            2. Click the “Accept” button at lower-right of the dialogue.

            The “Edit” link is enabled/clickable only when a node of type “Security”, “Other Securities” or “Aggregated Securities” is selected; for any other type of node, the link is disabled.

        3. If the item is mapped to any security-type statement item (i.e., “Security”, “Security Single”, “Stack Level Security Single”, “Aggregated Securities” or “Other Securities”), and if desired, specify for it.

          “Conditional Display” options assist in the control of common output template logic, such as the need to display the currency symbol for the first security that displays on a page, or to suppress a security’s currency code if it is the same as the previous security, etc.

          1. Select the corresponding to the display option(s) you wish to apply to the mapped item.
            1. Select the “Display if top of page” check box to designate that the selected data point should only be displayed when the line appears on the top of the page or column.
            2. Select the “Display if different than previous security” check box to specify that the selected data point should be displayed only when its value is different than the value of the same data point for the previous security.
            3. Select the “Display if first in outermost category/group” option to designate that the selected data point should be displayed only when it if the first record to appear within an outermost category or group.

            If none of the check box options are selected for a given data point, the data point will always display.

        4. Specify the of a selected item.

          1. Select an item within the cell, and then click the “Format Item” at lower-left of the pane to view/edit item settings.

            • When editing an item whose style formatting has been set previously (whether via the “Format Item”, “Format Cell”, “Format Row” or “Format Column” dialogues), the check box state of each setting will reflect the current respective settings of the item.
            • When editing an item whose position formatting has been set previously via the “Format Item” dialogue, the option button selection will reflect the current position setting of the item.
            • Formatting settings made via the “Format Item” dialogue are not reflected in the component preview on the “Project” page; only in output.
        5. Move a selected item up or down (left or right) using the “Move item up” and “Move item down” buttons   at lower-left of the pane.
        6. Remove selected items from the column via the “Remove item” button at lower-left of the pane.

    12. If desired, opt to from the holdings preview and in project output.

        This tab is only enabled when nodes of type “Security”, “Other Securities” (“condensed” statements only), “Aggregated Securities”, “Category Header”, “Category Total”, “Formula”, “Group Header”, “Group Total”, “Stack Level Header”, “Stack Level Total”, “Negative Subtotal”, “Positive Subtotal”, “Net Assets”, “Other Assets” or “Total Investments” are selected in the statement structure tree.

        1. Specify for statement items of type “Category Header”, with any cell in the “Column Header” row of the “Mapping” grid selected.
          1. Select the “Suppress column header text if same as previous” option button to suppress the text in the current cell when its complete text is identical to that of the previous column header.
          2. Select the “Suppress column header text for this cell” option button to suppress the column header text, regardless of the header text contained in any previous column header rows.
          3. Select the “Display column header text for this cell” option button to display the column header text, regardless of the header text contained in any previous column header rows.

        2. Specify for any other supported node type (except “Category Header”, with any cell in the “Column Header” row of the “Mapping” grid selected).

          1. Select the “Zero Suppress” check box to suppress the item based on whether the value of a specified numeric-type portfolio field is zero (“0”).

            • The check box is cleared by default (i.e., suppression is turned off) for new portfolio statement templates.

              • For items of type “Positive Subtotal” or “Positive Subtotal”, the check box is selected by default.

            • For items of type “Security”, If the specified “Value Type” is “Raw”, the evaluation of zero suppression will be made before all rounding, totaling and footing.

              • If a security’s raw value is “0”, it will be completely removed from all calculations and totaling.

                This will not work for aggregate fields, such as “Min”, “Max” or “Avg”, as they require calculations to occur first.

            • For items of type “Aggregated Securities”, if there are no “other” securities and the “Market Value” is “0”, the line item will suppress in project preview and output when the check box is selected.

            • For items of type “Formula”, if the total of selected categories in the formula is “0”, the line item will suppress in project preview and output when the check box is selected.

              • You can also select the associated “Suppress formula if only 1 item in the formula definition does not equal zero” check box (cleared by default), if desired.

                For example, if three categories are specified in the formula and you want to suppress the formula if two of the categories have a value of “0”, but one category has a non-zero value.

            1. Use the associated “Based On” drop-down list to specify the data point whose value should be considered when the zero suppression logic is run for the selected item.

              If the value of the specified data point is zero, the item will be suppressed; if the value of the data point is greater than or less than zero, the item will not be suppressed.

            2. Identify which “Value Type” to analyze (i.e., “Footed”, “Raw” or “Rounded”) when the zero suppression logic is run.

              • For items of type “Other Securities”, the only selection available in the drop-down list is “Footed”.

          2. For items of type “Category Total” (i.e., category and category exception total lines), select the “Suppress category total if single security item is displayed” check box (displayed beneath the “Value Type” drop-down list), if desired.

            • For innermost categories or category exceptions, applies.

              • If the check box is selected for a given category total line:

                • The total line will be suppressed in statement preview and output when:

                  • A single security exists in the category OR
                  • Only the “Other Securities” line item exists in the category OR
                  • Only one “Aggregated Securities” line item exists in the category.

                • The total line will be displayed in statement preview and output when:

                  • Any combination of two or more security row types (i.e., “Aggregated Securities” or “Other Securities”) will display under the innermost level.
              • If the check box is cleared for a given category total line, the total line will be displayed in statement preview and output.

            • For outer categories and category exceptions, applies.

              • If the check box is selected for a given category total line:

                • The total line will be suppressed in statement preview and output when a single security exists in the category.

                  There could be, for example, 1,000 securities within the outer-level category, but if they are all assigned to a single category, then the outer-level category total will be suppressed.

                • The total line will be displayed in statement preview and output when more than one category will display under the outer category.
              • If the check box is cleared for a given category total line, the total line will be displayed in statement preview and output.

            1. You can also select the associated “Enable single security row layout (if only one security in this category)” to enable the specification of distinct mappings/settings for use if only one security exists in the category.

              • When the check box is selected, the following occurs:

                • An item of type “Security Single” in the tree view above the “Security” item for the selected category after the “Save” button is clicked.
                  Example: Statement item of type “Security Single”

                • If the selected category has only one security, the mappings/settings for the “Security Single” item are used for statement preview and output, rather than those for the “Security” item.

                  This logic applies if the single security appears within any of the following areas:

                  1. An “Other Securities” section on a statement of type “Condensed”
                  2. An “Aggregated Securities” section
                  3. A “Stack” section

                When the check box is cleared, the “Security Single” item and any associated mappings/settings are removed from the template after the “Save” button is clicked.

          3. For items of type “Category Total” (i.e., category and category exception total lines), select the “Suppress category total if single category is displayed” check box to suppress the total line in statement preview and output when the selected category is the only one that exists at the innermost level.

          4. For items of type “Stack Level Header” or “Stack Level Total”, select the “Suppress stack row if stack level is blank” check box to suppress the line in statement preview and output.

      2. Ensure that the specified suppression “Based On” data point calculates a total in the statement template, via the “Calculations” of the “Portfolio Statement Templates” page.
        1. Open the “Portfolio Statement Templates” page.
        2. Choose the appropriate template from the “Listing” section at left of the page.
        3. Select the statement node from the “Detail” section at right of the page.
        4. Click the “Calculations” tab.

        5. If the data point upon which you want to base security suppression does not display in the “Calculations” grid, Click the “Add” button at lower-left of the grid to add it.

          For example, if you want to suppress securities or a category or a category total if the “Market Value” value is zero, verify that you have a calculation for “Market Value” in this tab.

          • If you do not specify that the data point be calculated, the raw, rounded and footed numbers will all be the same.
          • In the case of category headers and category totals, if you do not specify that the data point be calculated, Arc Suite will interpret the total as zero (“0”) and suppress all category headers or totals, regardless of the underlying values.

            2. If the specified custom tag has the “Additional Fixed Options” check box selected in the Custom Tags library, select one of the available options via the “Additional Fixed Option” drop-down list (the drop-down list is disabled if no fixed options are defined for the selected tag).

            3. If the specified custom tag has the “Additional Arguments” check box selected in the Custom Tags library, enter the appropriate argument(s) in the “Additional Argument(s)” text box.

              For a custom tag requiring additional arguments, it is helpful to provide definitions and/or examples of argument values in the “Description” field when creating/editing the tag via the “Custom Tags” page. This offers some guidance to any user who insert the tag in a text editor.

            4. Click the “Accept” button at lower-right of the dialogue.

        • If multiple items are added to any given cell, you can control the placement of the appended item during the drag-and-drop action by placing the item in its desired position before the drop occurs within the cell. Items can be removed from cells, and the order of items in the cell can be adjusted using the drop-and-drag functionality.
        • To create a custom literal item, type the desired text in the box at lower-right of the page. The text for the “{custom}” item at the top of the “Literals” pane reflects the text you enter, and that item can be dragged-and-dropped to the appropriate cell in the desired position to insert the custom literal.
        • Hard returns, soft returns, tabs and spaces can also be added to cells. Items representing these can be found at the end of the list of literals provided.

        • Data points available for mapping vary by node selected.

          • When “Custom Data Point” is the specified data point type, a “Library” drop-down list displays through which you can designate the data point library containing the desired data points to map. Only those libraries associated with the same complex as the current template are available for selection.
        • All mapped data points must be added to the “Calculations” tab of the “Portfolio Statement Templates” page.
        • Click the “Add new item to the grid” button at lower-left of the “Mapping” grid, respectively, to add or remove rows.
        • To move selected rows up or down in the “Mapping” grid, use the corresponding positioning arrows at lower-left of the grid.
        • To delete all mapped items and associated formatting and suppression settings in all columns for the selected item, click the “Delete Column Mappings” link at lower-left of the “Mapping” grid.
      2. At any point during the mapping process, you can move entire rows and columns within the grid up/down/left/right by clicking the header of the desired row/column to select it, and then clicking the positioning buttons     appropriately.

      3. You can merge cells in the grid across columns by selecting the cell representing the upper-left cell of the range, and then clicking the “Span cells” beneath the grid.

          • Any data that was in the upper-left (start) cell of the specified span area will be displayed in the span area text box of the grid; any data in any other cells of the span area range will be deleted.
          • Multiple span areas may exist within a table, but span areas cannot overlap.
          • All row and column positioning buttons are disabled when at least one span area exists in a given template’s grid.

        Click the “Remove Span” button beneath the grid to remove any selected span area.

      4. Indicate the cell style and (e.g., bold, italic, underline, color, alignment, etc.) to the text of mapped items.

            “Conditional Display” options assist in the control of common output template logic, such as the need to display the currency symbol for the first security that displays on a page, or to suppress a security’s currency code if it is the same as the previous security, etc.

            1. Select the corresponding to the display option(s) you wish to apply to the mapped item.
              1. Select the “Display if top of page” check box to designate that the selected data point should only be displayed when the line appears on the top of the page or column.

              • For items of type “Aggregated Securities”, if there are no “other” securities and the “Market Value” is “0”, the line item will suppress in project preview and output when the check box is selected.

              • For items of type “Formula”, if the total of selected categories in the formula is “0”, the line item will suppress in project preview and output when the check box is selected.

                • You can also select the associated “Suppress formula if only 1 item in the formula definition does not equal zero” check box (cleared by default), if desired.

                  For example, if three categories are specified in the formula and you want to suppress the formula if two of the categories have a value of “0”, but one category has a non-zero value.

              1. Use the associated “Based On” drop-down list to specify the data point whose value should be considered when the zero suppression logic is run for the selected item.

                If the value of the specified data point is zero, the item will be suppressed; if the value of the data point is greater than or less than zero, the item will not be suppressed.

              2. Identify which “Value Type” to analyze (i.e., “Footed”, “Raw” or “Rounded”) when the zero suppression logic is run.

                • For items of type “Other Securities”, the only selection available in the drop-down list is “Footed”.

            2. For items of type “Category Total” (i.e., category and category exception total lines), select the “Suppress category total if single security item is displayed” check box (displayed beneath the “Value Type” drop-down list), if desired.

              • For innermost categories or category exceptions, applies.

                • If the check box is selected for a given category total line:

                  • The total line will be suppressed in statement preview and output when:

                    • A single security exists in the category OR
                    • Only the “Other Securities” line item exists in the category OR
                    • Only one “Aggregated Securities” line item exists in the category.

                  • The total line will be displayed in statement preview and output when:

                    • Any combination of two or more security row types (i.e., “Aggregated Securities” or “Other Securities”) will display under the innermost level.
                • If the check box is cleared for a given category total line, the total line will be displayed in statement preview and output.

              • For outer categories and category exceptions, applies.

                • If the check box is selected for a given category total line:

                  • The total line will be suppressed in statement preview and output when a single security exists in the category.

                    There could be, for example, 1,000 securities within the outer-level category, but if they are all assigned to a single category, then the outer-level category total will be suppressed.

                  • The total line will be displayed in statement preview and output when more than one category will display under the outer category.
                • If the check box is cleared for a given category total line, the total line will be displayed in statement preview and output.

              1. You can also select the associated “Enable single security row layout (if only one security in this category)” to enable the specification of distinct mappings/settings for use if only one security exists in the category.

                • When the check box is selected, the following occurs:

                  • An item of type “Security Single” in the tree view above the “Security” item for the selected category after the “Save” button is clicked.

                  • If the selected category has only one security, the mappings/settings for the “Security Single” item are used for statement preview and output, rather than those for the “Security” item.

                    This logic applies if the single security appears within any of the following areas:

                    1. An “Other Securities” section on a statement of type “Condensed”
                    2. An “Aggregated Securities” section
                    3. A “Stack” section

                  When the check box is cleared, the “Security Single” item and any associated mappings/settings are removed from the template after the “Save” button is clicked.

            3. For items of type “Category Total” (i.e., category and category exception total lines), select the “Suppress category total if single category is displayed” check box to suppress the total line in statement preview and output when the selected category is the only one that exists at the innermost level.

            4. For items of type “Stack Level Header” or “Stack Level Total”, select the “Suppress stack row if stack level is blank” check box to suppress the line in statement preview and output.

        2. Ensure that the specified suppression “Based On” data point calculates a total in the statement template, via the “Calculations” of the “Portfolio Statement Templates” page.
          1. Open the “Portfolio Statement Templates” page.
          2. Choose the appropriate template from the “Listing” section at left of the page.
          3. Select the statement node from the “Detail” section at right of the page.
          4. Click the “Calculations” tab.

          5. If the data point upon which you want to base security suppression does not display in the “Calculations” grid, Click the “Add” button at lower-left of the grid to add it.

            For example, if you want to suppress securities or a category or a category total if the “Market Value” value is zero, verify that you have a calculation for “Market Value” in this tab.

            • If you do not specify that the data point be calculated, the raw, rounded and footed numbers will all be the same.
            • In the case of category headers and category totals, if you do not specify that the data point be calculated, Arc Suite will interpret the total as zero (“0”) and suppress all category headers or totals, regardless of the underlying values.

    7. Click the “Save” button at lower-right of the page if any updates were made.

    A listing of records, with certain associated information, can be exported from the application database to any of several different file formats (DOC, HTM, XML, etc.). Follow the steps below to perform a data export.

    1. Click the “Export data” at lower-right of the pane where existing items are listed to export data from the grid.

      1. Select the next to the file format to which you’d like the data saved.

        •  .CSV

        •  .HTM

        •  .TXT

      2. Click the “Accept” button at lower-right of the dialogue.

        1. Specify a local or network directory in which to store the file, and provide a “File name”.

    4. Select the desired item from the “Listing” pane at left of the page.

    5. Select the line item whose column mappings you wish to review in the tree view structure at left of the “Detail” pane.

    6. Click the “Delete Mappings” link at lower-left of the “Mapping” grid.
